Welcome, kick your feet up, and relaxxxxxx....

If you don't know me already, welcome. I'm suprised you have found this site and I hope you find the site inspiring. If you do know me ... what the heck are you doing here? Do you have something else better to do? Ha ha. Well Brittany has her little blog and she does such a good job at it that I just let her control what goes on there. However, not a lot of Mike personality is revealed there. So I have created this site to get a little more detail on me, and on Brittany. Leave me a comment or two. I'm not good a communicating with people so if you do feel inclined to leave a comment, I would be very excited!

Who Are You?

Hi, I'm Mike Hoggan, born an raised "as an Idaho Spud" as my sister in-law states it, in a little town called Burley, Idaho. I graduated highschool from there and had played many sports including basketball, soccer, and tennis. Soccer and basketball were the highlights of highschool. Well, that and all-nighters at Matt Harper's with Pepsis, Doritios, and killer peacocks. Once highschool was over I decided that I needed to do something above me and serve a God that I love. I went on an LDS mission to the Dominican Republic and lived there for two years. I never knew a greater people. There I learned Spanish, made my mama proud, learned the ways of the siesta, and studied for future encounters of hip dances like bachata, merengue, and salsa.

After two years in the Carribean, I came home to move on with life and get an education. My pal Matt convinced me to come to Brigham Young University - Idaho. It was not my first choice but came in spite of my feelings for a church school. It was the best decision ever! I meet Brittany here; we have been married two years now. I have recieved the best education that anyone can recieve, with professors who have taught at Harvard, worked on Wall Street, and have had life experiences to be emulated. I'm studying Business Management with an emphasis in Finance. I am also taking a "cluster", which is like a half emphasis, in Web design and development. I'll graduate this December. After that, who knows where life will take me. I have accepted an internship at World Minerals this summer so maybe it will be with them. They are a mining and processing corporation owned by the French company Imerys. I'm excited for that! I hope that tells you a little bit about me, enjoy the site!
